TEN MORAL MOMENTS IN THE LIFE OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN @ Chester Library
Thursday, February 15 @ 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Throughout Lincoln’s entire life family, neighbors, lawyers, political allies and enemies alike were taken aback by this tall ‘prairie lawyer’ who was a poorly dressed ‘westerner’ with little formal education, a western ‘twang’ in his voice and a penchant for telling stories and jokes. Yet when he spoke….or acted….on behalf of causes, people or principles….people took note of how devoid he was of malice, self-interest, greed or the need to simply ‘win’ cases or elections.  Come hear ten stories of Abraham Lincoln that exemplified his moral character both in his personal and political life.  Presented by Glenn W. LeBoeuf, a historian who has been studying our 16th president for over 40 years.  Register at www.chesterlib.org.
