The Borough of Chester will be joining municipalities throughout the state in celebrating New Jersey Local Government Week, April 7 through 13, 2019.
Local government is the government closest to most citizens, and the one that most directly impacts its residents on a daily basis. It is essential that residents understand how their local government operates, the services it provides, and the importance of active involvement.
NJ Local Government Week, sponsored by the New Jersey State League of Municipalities, is a weeklong celebration to raise awareness about the importance of municipal government and its daily impact on residents. The Borough of Chester is committed to serving the public and facilitating an understanding of public services and their benefits.
To celebrate, Chester Borough has scheduled an Open House on Saturday, April 13, from 9 am to noon at the Municipal Complex, 50 North Road, Chester.
