The Borough of Chester is accepting applications for the full-time position of driver/laborer for the Department of Public Works.  Duties include but are not limited to buildings and ground maintenance, grass cutting, storm sewer maintenance, road maintenance, snow plowing, paving, and driving vehicles that require a Class B CDL. Must possess a valid CDL or be willing to obtain within twelve months. Some janitorial duty required on a rotating basis with other DPW employees.  Applicants should be able to perform manual labor under all weather conditions and be able to understand and carry out verbal instructions.  Applicants must be able to safely operate grass cutting equipment, chainsaws, chippers, snow blowers, leaf machines, and similar equipment as directed.  Applicant must also have a valid NJ Driver’s license with a Class B CDL endorsement with air brakes.  Successful applicants must undergo a background check and drug test prior to employment.  Salary DOQ. DPW Laborer – Seasonal – CHESTER BOROUGH, Morris County- Seasonal Part Time 30-37 hours a week.  Duties to include but not limited to janitorial services, snow removal, road work, building maintenance and daily operations.  Driver’s license with clean record required. The Chester Area Pool is seeking applicants for general summer staff and lifeguards on a substitute or regular season schedule.  Lifeguards must hold current certifications.  Staff members are expected to work flexible hours and days, and help to maintain a clean, safe facility and enforce rules.
