Full-Time Laborer Opportunity Available

The Borough of Chester is seeking a highly motivated and responsible individual for a full-time position in our Public Works Department. Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years of age, hold a valid New Jersey driver's license and pass a background check. Valid CDL and applicable endorsements for the class and type of vehicle being operated is preferred. Responsibilities include but are not limited to manual labor, general road construction, building maintenance, landscaping, masonry, hand/power tools, and other small engine equipment.

Knowledge of paving operations and general, light vehicle maintenance a plus. Successful candidates may be required to work overtime and perform snow/ ice removal or storm damage on a rotating basis. The salary range is $42,000-$45,000 dependent on qualifications and experience.
